Consultation Information

Consults involve TWO 1 hour appointments, followed by ONE 30 minute re-check. Cameron will request and review your entire medical history in addition to any recent blood work before your initial appointment. We also have an incredibly comprehensive intake form, as to not miss a thing in the story of your health. You can check out the forms here. The goal being to fully understand how you came to where you are today and create an incredibly personalized, comprehensive plan.

And through our work together you will acquire the tools and information to create health all throughout your life.

I focus on: nutritional counseling, lifestyle changes, correcting possible nutrient deficiencies, and supplementing with herbs, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals according to each person's specific needs.

I work with people suffering will all types of conditions such as: Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Autoimmune Conditions, Neuropathy, Thyroid Conditions, Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Food Allergies, Seasonal Allergies, Asthma, Chronic Pain/Fatigue, IBS, IBSC, Crohn's disease, and many others.

Fee Structure:

We have, for the last 2 years, kept our clinic prices as low as possible and charged the same rate as a massage therapist for face to face consultation time; which equates to, on the cheaper end of the industry standard, $60 for one hour. This was fine when we were in our infancy but as we have grown, it has become increasingly more difficult to manage caseload and provide quality care. For every hour that Cameron spends face to face with a wonderful person in clinic she and the Deep Roots staff spend about 2 hours answering emails, scheduling, creating formulas, wild-harvesting and making medicine, doing research, and reviewing their case. We do all of those things because this is the type of individualized care that Deep Roots likes to give. Because of this need to maintain the quality of care, we are raising our rates to equate for the actual time spent with each person’s case; which is more fair to Cameron, our staff, and our clients.

We recently reduced our in-clinic formula costs from $20 to $15. We also teach our clients to make their own formulas, if they desire to do so, to help decrease the cost and to facilitate and encourage health care empowerment and education.

We hope that you understand. We will still be offering 30% off of our regular consultation fees if financial assistance is needed but, just as before, clients will be required to fill out our financial assistance application.

All appointments with a date of August 1st or later will be charged the new rates; which are as follows:

What to expect

You are wondering, what exactly does a Clinical Herbalist do? Well, you would come into my office, hopefully with fully completed intake forms; which, you can find here. If you have had recent blood work, within the last 3-4 months, please bring it with you. I will evaluate: teeth, tongue, hair, skin, nails, eyes and general constitution. We  talk about your health goals. Also, what you are struggling with emotionally, spiritually, physically, and interpersonally. I listen, inquire, absorb and digest everything you are telling me in hopes that I can help usher you towards a more healthy and whole version of yourself.

Then, we make a plan to do just that.

The protocol often involves dietary recommendations, supplementation, herbs, life-style changes and referrals. Referrals are important because your health journey is not a solitary road, more hands make easy work, and support in many ways can make or break the success of our time together. You can check out my referral page here and my client resources page here

We will have a few rechecks after your initial appointment. It depends on the severity of your challenges as to the duration of our time together. You didn't get to this place over night and we hope you will be your perfect self as soon as you walk out of my office, but sometimes it takes time. Rechecks serve to adjust your protocol if need be, check in and see how you are doing, if you need resources, support, or a pat on the back!

The more natural route is not for the faint of heart. It has its challenges, but I will work with you wherever you are and together we will make progress and lasting change.  There will be pep talks, resources, the occasional scolding but also lots of education, conversation, and growth.

Cancellation Policy: If it is necessary for you to cancel or reschedule your appointment you can do so at any time, as long as you provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for half the appointment's value; if you fail to show up or call you will be charged for the appointment in full. Thank you for your understanding.
