We are happy to announce that we are expanding and formalizing our apprenticeship program! We are looking for apprentices to assist with the clinic apothecary and the burgeoning farmers market expansion we are planning this coming spring. This apprenticeship is a blend of responsibility and educational opportunity. You will be trained on and will practice a variety of skills, from wild harvesting, garbling, and medicine making to apothecary management and the uses of herbal medicines for health and wellness.
Apprenticeship duties are as follows:
~Cleaning the medicine room
~Digging, washing, and processing roots
~Assisting with making syrups, teas, tinctures, glycerite, salves, oils, etc.
Work days will be Fridays (medicine-making) from 9AM-4PM and/or Mondays (wild harvesting) from 3-6PM. There may also be farmers market work days or events that will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
This apprenticeship requires a minimum 6-month commitment and there is no tuition for this program. We have between 2-3 apprentices at any time. You will often be working with our apothecary manager, Morgan, as well as Cameron.
If you have a passion for supporting and serving your neighbors (both people and plants), if you have a basic knowledge of herbal medicine (or a willingness to learn), if you can dedicate your Friday and/or Monday afternoons to our mission and you are ready to make a commitment to our vision, please email us for an application: firstname.lastname@example.org
